Skötselskolan is a long-standing collaboration between all major forestry companies in Sweden. The result is a learning portal where more than 100,000 people have completed more than 500,000 training courses.
The trainings are created jointly by the member companies own experts and are delivered via each company’s own entry in the learning portal. The shared content is supplemented with company specific sections. The training courses are bundled in competence packages adapted to the company’s various positions.
The ”fast track” means that only new content needs to be obtained if the training is updated for a new season or for those who work for several companies. Automatic transfer of training certificates to HR systems simplifies follow-up.
Generic versions of the courses are sold in an online store. The Swedish forestry vocational board (SYN) organizes practical courses and administers these via a separate entrance to the learning portal. Thus, most of the training and competence certificates for Swedish forestry are gathered in Skötselskolan.
Many companies in industry and shipping use the Safe Work learning portal. Tailor-made training courses in work environment, environment and introduction of new employees, etc. are provided via own entrances. The content is created by the company’s own experts. If necessary, external experts are engaged.
Both employees and hired personnel are managed in a rational way. Contractors administer their own personnel. Login takes place via Mobile BankID/Freja eID, alternatively e-mail or mobile number. Support for speech synthesis/narrator voice makes it easier for everyone to take part in the content.
A ”dashboard” is used for follow-up, statistics and checking the validity of the educational certificates. A QR code on each educational certificate facilitates random checks at entry. Reminders are automatically sent via SMS or e-mail when it is time to renew the training certificate.
Safety is a fresh commodity. A characteristic of Safe Work is how easily the content can be updated. Comments can be left on each section. Thereby there is a systematic way to quickly correct any inaccuracies and take advantage of suggestions for improvements.
